The ECO-STEAM4BASICS Kick-off Meeting took place on 23–24 April 2026 at Frederick University, Nicosia, Cyprus, bringing together all 11 partner organisations in person and online. The two-day meeting marked the official launch of the project.

Day 1 focused on project launch and vision building. Partners were introduced to the project’s mission, work packages, and key outcomes through an interactive jigsaw activity, followed by in-depth discussions on the research methodology for WP2, the pedagogical framework, and project management documents. Day 2 covered planning, quality assurance, and collaboration, with presentations on WP3 (Training Curriculum), WP4 (Pilot Implementation), WP5 (Stakeholder Engagement), WP6 (Communication & Dissemination), and administrative and financial guidelines.

The first monthly virtual consortium meeting reviewed the status of KOM action points, discussed the finalisation and submission of D6.1 (Communication & Dissemination Strategy), and presented the proposed ECO-STEAM4BASICS logo and visual identity for partner approval. Partners also received an update on WP3 bilateral meetings and discussed the consortium action plan structure and SIGMA portal reporting procedures.
